CUHK

About This Course

This self-paced online course provides a practical foundation for researchers looking to turn their projects into social enterprises. Led by an Instructor who is a professional impact investor, this course outlines key steps in how to launch and grow a social enterprise from idea to financially sustainability.

We outline key stages in the evolution of a social business and how to approach the right funders for each stage. The course also covers how to measure and report on social impact, some basics to understand cashflow, and how to write a social business plan that can be used to raise funding from impact-focused investors.

The course is delivered over 3 hours of pre-recorded video content, split out into 20 videos that can be watched at the student’s own pace. A multiple choice test is available for students to test their knowledge and to receive certification.
